About Debbie Patterson

Debbie has been taking evocative natural light photographs for leading magazines over many years.

One of the few innovative daylight photographers to both style and shoot her pictures, her photographs have been creating the 'lifestyle look' for magazines like Country Living, Homes and Gardens , any many others. Debbie has recently photographed a children's supplement for Sainsbury's Magazine which had children baking, partying and playing outdoors.

She has also photographed Award winning cookery books and has been the chosen Photographer for household names including Linda McCartney (a Photographer herself!) and Delia Smith, to name but two .

Debbie has used her eye for simple and strong composition, and her flair for natural daylight photography to create emotive and compelling pictures of children. In her relaxed storytelling style they make a wonderful record of the moment, deceptively simple but carefully crafted. As a mother to three young boys she is aware of children's moods and is able to work fast with them and the changing tempo.

Children are after all like the weather.changeable and unpredictable!

Debbie uses real film both black & white and colour. She loves the depth and feel of film and the beautiful prints it becomes.
